Radiation safety, for the sake of our patients and our clinical staff, is taken very seriously at Cooper Moss Advanced Dentistry.  We assess each patient and their individual needs before recommending the appropriate imaging for that patient.

We have chosen digital imaging for all of our radiology technology because of its significant reduction in radiation per exposure.  We use two different intra-oral digital x-ray systems to allow for flexiblity and comfort for our patients.  Both systems use up to 65% less radiation than traditional film based x-rays.

3D Cone Beam CT (CBCT) imaging provides us with an exceptional amount of diagnostic and treatment planning information compared to previous traditional "panelipse" views.  An important safety benefit of the Galileos 3D CBCT imaging utilized in our practice however, is that this system uses the least amount of radiation of any dental CBCT on the market.  A Galileos 3D scan is requires even less radiation than a digital full mouth series and less than half of the radiation for a film based full mouth series.  Cone Beam CT uses up to 50 times less radiation than comparable CT scans taken at hospitals.
